Vernon Crookes Nature Reserve

Tourism and Accommodation in Natal (by Website Designers)

Inland from Park Rynie, this small reserve confines a number of habitats within its boundaries and as a result, more than 300 species of birds have been identified. Surrounded by sugar cane fields, the reserve is an interesting glimpse into what the South Coast looked like before the depredations of man over one hundred years ago. There is a dam and 26 kilometres of tourist roads in the reserve as well as picnic sites.

Eland, zebra, wildebeest, impala, mongoose, nyala, baboon and monkeys.
