The camp has wonderful views over the lake and is a favourite with both fishermen and bird lovers. The camp is located at the edge of a steep cliff at the edge of the lake and commands excellent views to the north, South and east.
Flamingoes and pelicans are frequent visitors to the lake in front of the camp as well as magnificent fish eagles. There are crocodiles offshore and hippos may be heard grunting before they come ashore at night to feed.
The 7km Isikhova trail through the forest augments the tranquil nature of the camp that for which it is famous and there is also the hour long Umkhumbe trail. There are daily boat trips to the outlying islands to see the hippo colonies.
Accommodation takes the form of a seven bed cottage and fourteen equipped three bedded huts. There is also a swimming pool in the grounds.
