Garden Castle

The Drakensberg World Heritage Park (by Website Designers)

Part of the Mzimkulu Wilderness Area, the forest encompasses many scenic walks, excellent trout fishing and views of the Southern Drakensberg. There are few forest areas and the reserve is mostly of grassland. This is good horse riding country and horses may be hired for a few dollars a day. Garden Castle is characterized by the many tarns that dot the area and is referred to as the Lake District. Bushmen painting sites abound in the area. Accommodation is in a camp site and 12 caves.
