We have designed many web sites and offer practical Website Design tuition that provides students with a solid foundation in major aspects of Website Design. Tuition is on an individualized basis with the pace of instruction determined by the student.
There is no superfluity - all material is used frequently by web designers - the course objective is to get students up and running quickly whilst understanding what constitutes an effective web site. Internet users are becoming 'net-savvy' and thus are increasingly critical of poor sites.
The Course Structure
Numerous surveys have shown that above all else, web surfers value speed and topical, relevant content - aspects often ignored even on major web sites. Emphasis is therefore placed on slippery graphics, slim coding and unambiguous content.
All HTML is hand coded, enabling students to manipulate HTML tags with confidence. Such coding results in fast pages, good search engine visibility and easy editing. All software used is inexpensive and readily available. The tuition is divided into sections that build logically to a complete, functional web site.
Tuition is carefully structured so that there is a linear learning curve. Classes are held on a half day basis, homework is set and assessed. Students are expected to show critical thought and be innovative as they will design their own site on which they will be assessed.
