We have designed many web sites and offer a practical web site design course that provides students with a solid foundation in major aspects of web site design.
There is no superfluity - all material is used frequently by web designers - the course objective is to get students up and running quickly whilst understanding what makes an effective web site. The Internet is a major resource and an critical appreciation of web sites and understanding of their creation is becoming increasingly important.
The Course Structure
Numerous surveys have shown that above all else, web surfers value speed and topical, relevant content - aspects often ignored even on major web sites. Emphasis is therefore placed on slippery graphics, slim coding and unambiguous content.
All HTML is therefore hand coded, enabling students to manipulate HTML tags with confidence. Such coding results in fast pages, good search engine visibility and easy editing. All software used is inexpensive and readily available. The course is divided into sections that build logically to a complete, functional web site.
Tuition is carefully structured so that there is a linear learning curve. Classes are held on a half day basis, homework is set and assessed. Students are expected to show critical thought and be innovative as they will be expected to design their own site on which they will be marked.
Course Tuition
The course can be offered either as a one-on-one or as a group course at your premises. Schools that intend to train scholars to be internet-savvy will benefit particularly as the course can be structured for pupils from the age of 12.
Course Tutor
The course is given by Martin Evers MSc, who has been using computers for many years, has published many scientific papers and has over twenty years' teaching experience. Now take a look at our web site design course syllabus.
